Here are three things you can do to get your Online Business noticed in less then a Week!
Now to keep it simple, let’s just say all you have a business or service and a computer.
1st – Get a free blog if you’re new to blogging I suggest Blogger.com to start with and if your a bit more internet savvy you will want to host you own WordPressBlog.
(At some point you will differently want to host your own WordPress blog. I will write more about the reasons why it’s very important for hosting your own site in another post.)
2nd – Write two articles, 250-300 words each on your passions or about the field your in. Note* DO NOT mention your personal product(s) or service(s) or a sales page (that comes later). Here is couple of examples: Say you’re in real estate. It would go something like… “10 tips on what to look for when buying a home” or “How to find out if a community is right for your family”. Say you’re a teacher… “Five ways to improve your child’s study habits”. You get the picture. What you are doing is creating quality content. These will attract a larger audience. NO Selling! Now post these articles on your blog and be sure to have filled out your contact information, bio/contact number / email / Picture of yourself. Now share this either by email with your friends and colleagues, and if you’re using social media, sites like facebook, twitter and LinkedIn to name a few. Be sure to say something like, just posted a new article on my blog about… you fill in the blank.
3rd – If you have a web cam do the same as above in step 2. If you don’t have one, be sure and ask for a web cam for your birthday. Now you’ll want to keep your videos between 3 and 5 minutes long. This way you are valuing other people’s time.
Then post your new video to your blog, facebook etc. If your just starting out YouTube and Metacafe work great. Also read about how to embed your video too your web page or blog. That’s it. If you have relevant content, meaning is it informative, enlightening or entertaining. People will share it with others and they will contact you. Asking you for more information and what you do to earn an income online. Then and only then do you talk about your produce or service. What you are doing is your creating trust with your articles, so that people will seek you out for your advice and services. This is Attraction Marketing.
Businesses Working Together through Social Networking
A few years ago I use to own and operate a mobile shuttle and valet parking company in my local area. I worked a lot with event and wedding planners and with local catering businesses to provide services.
One of the planners had asking me about working with their competition. I went on to explaining that your Catering company may be booked on a certain date or not available when you close for 3 weeks in the fall and that referring clients to the other company would in fact help your business by asking them to in turn do the same. Well seven years later these two, Blue Onion Catering and D’Lish are still working with one another and are very successful businesses in our area.
So just by creating relationships and networking with others, even your competition. You can start growing your business while others are still overlooking and not taking advantage of the power of Networking. By joining or by building a social network(s) of like minding individuals, you are creating a idea and turning that idea into a no cost cash machine.
My name is my Mike Alter I live in beautiful Lake Tahoe California located in the Sierra Mountains. I’m married to my wife Nikki the love of my life and my best friend. We have two beautiful girls, Addison who was born 2004 and Makenna Nicole who was born in 2006
Nikki and I met in the summer of 1999 and I knew from our very first date that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. In those days I was cutting hair and owned a shuttle and valet service company. However, I was always trying to get started in some investment or online adventure, and while some made money but most never amounted to much of anything.
My big dreams of success were not coming to fruition as I had hoped. It began taking its toll on me and my wife. I felt defeated and scared. Then our first child arrived and blessed our life’s, which led to a new sense of urgency and responsibility. By the time of our second daughter was born I had already started a property management company, which provided a steady income for our family.
However it wasn’t very long until I realized that this company which I created was not what I always dreamed of. Yes it was making us money. We had our own home new cars, but being on call 24/7 was exhausting. We were asking ourselves where the extra money was after the bills were paid. I continued running the property management business for almost three years.
Then I decided to make a go at Network Marketing once again. This time I said, “I will succeed” and you know what. 5, 10 than 30 people join my organization. Then more people join underneath them and in less than six months I had 170 plus people under me. W0W! I said, “Im making it”, so you would think. So you may ask what happened next. Well it seemed as fast as they joined people start dropping off like flies. “What is happening?” I said “why me” poor me. “It always happens to me”. (You’ve probably heard and said that one before). Feeling defeated once again, I started looking within myself and not blaming others to why I was not being successful.
Very shortly after that I was browsing on the Internet and came across an online chat forum where I started reading all these posts about “The Secret” (Is doing this for me) & “Power of Attraction” (is doing that for me) and it all started to click. It was a Ah Ha moment for lack of better words. I was sure at that moment. I mean as sure as the day I realize I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Nikki that I was hearing something that resonated to the core of my being. Now at the time just knowing wasn’t enough. I had to learn how to apply these principles to my life and practice action, not only in myself and my life but in how I was approaching and working my business.
I started going online and searching for and reading books on this Power of Attraction. I began reading and hearing success story after story of people applying this to their life their family and friends and of course how to apply this in there on and offline businesses. Man did I have it backwards. I use to say if I had a product or service that everyone wanted or needed if I just had one or two big marketing builders. Now don’t get me wrong. Those are very important things. But I had it backwards. You ask then what? What is it? In one word
Yes relationships first.
